Like the title says, what engine is the best for tuning?
Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform!
You can find some additional information about where we are in the process of migrating the board and setting up our new software here
Thank you for being a part of our community!
What are your goals?
If you are staying with a redblock, generally the best block to start with is a late model B230xT that has the piston oil squirters. However, you can retrofit them on earlier B230s as well.
I prefer the B23. Th eonly engine I would stay away from or just replace the rods in is the B230's with 9mm rods
The goal would be a NA build, but right now i just need it to have the potential for it.

92+ has the big rods and oil squirters. But really you can run a B230 with the "skinny" rods and be just fine, especially with just being NA produced power that you'll see. The oil squirters are a nice touch, but can be retro fitted into any block.
No, 90+ is big rod. 93+ is oil squirters.

You young 'uns need to come back to earth..
The later B230 rods are not and in no possible way be called "big".
They are less ridiculously wimpy, than the earlier insanely noodly little things.
But no sane or serious person can rightfully call them "big".

Well relatively speaking they are "big" rods as they are larger out of the two different types we have available stock.
Already been said the best Redblock you can get is basically anything 93+ as that is less work with the oil squirters already there.
Or a Squirterizationalized B21FT with a sheet-ton of boost.
all this b23 love and I just threw one away
From Post #3The goal would be a NA build.
