Got the fuel leak taken care of so back to the speedo. I took the twisted harness from the 88 and rigged it in. Speedo works but I think it is reading to fast. So that tells me the diff sensor is ok.

Pulled the tank unit. Found a hole in the pipe for the feed hose. It was on the back side Close to where the pipe diameter increases so there was no way to slide the hose down to cover it.

With the car on the lift I can “drive” it while trying to fix the no speedo. Yikes there is a big fuel leak. The hose from the tank pump split. Should have changed it when it was it was swapped.

There might be a chance that I will end up with a 780 that I have owned three times. The radiator broke and he didn’t notice the pegged temp gauge. Autopsy scheduled for tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. Everything was transferred from a crashed 760 into a 740. Engine trans rear axel every inch of wiring. Speedo has power but no speedo signal. Both cars have abs and it works....

Clean up went way better than expected. Fired up...

Clean up went way better than expected. Fired up the lawnmower aka push vehicle and pushed the smashed body into the shop. Only had to make one course correction. 3 hours later both axels are out....
