The programmable one would be neat to use, as you can fine tune it to your setup, or use it with boost.

Another bonus with the 5.slow is that it the oil pump won't take a dump from high revs like the LS pumps do. Swap out the stock oil pump hex- drive for an ARP one and you're good for 7k rpm all day.

For 300-400hp, it's hard to beat the 5.slow platform. It's a lot more compact than a LS based engine, and with aluminum heads they're a smidge heavier than a redblock.

They're mostly silent, but they are not that strong. As the clutch packs wear, they tend to get stuck on. They also take some time to engage, so there's a pretty big shock load when they engage....

This is what I did when I went with custom CPs on...

This is what I did when I went with custom CPs on the 16v rally engine. I was able to hone the block and get a nice piston to wall clearance on a 96mm piston.

I've had nothing but success with Spec products, and a pile of burned up ACT clutches. YMMV.

Nope, but the sensor is near the gauge one. You're looking for a sensor under the intake that has an injector style connector on it. The body will be black plastic and brass.

Honestly, decking the head for higher CR is going to be 80% (pulled out of my bum) of what you're after.
