Bottom out the stud then back it out a 1/4 turn....

Bottom out the stud then back it out a 1/4 turn. High temp anti-seize and new nuts every time. Always works for me.

I prefer the OE volvo studs over stainless for the exhaust side.

not an LS swap but a custom hose is a custom hose; I took mine into a good NAPA location and had them just crimp a new end onto one side of the hose to the length and spec I needed.
