So I bought me a cheap s70 t5m from copart
in hopes for a cheap parts car. Winning bid was 150 bones. But the bastards wouldn't want to sell it for that
price. Counter offered and ended up getting for 350.
Not bad for a 98 t5m with lowish miles. There was no guarantee that it ran.
Bought it sight unseen.brought it home and fired it up.

Doing a bit of math. I decided that it would cost me a pretty penny to fix.. very doable but likely worth it.
cons. Salvage title, Lots of bondo, sedan, tan interior,
And lots of work. Then this fell into my lap so I decided
to go for it. 98 t5 with bad trans and high miles. But with a black interior and 350 bones clean title, could not pass it up...
can you spot some goodies?

So motor is now swapped along with 5 speed
Also had it lowered and threw on some cheap wheels
off xc90 850R seat in rear and fully functional s60 t5, seats.... by the way they were super easy to install. All bolt in. Love them.

I spy marks shop.[/QUOT
Marks shop it is. He was the one who did the swap on
the wagon. Could not do it without him

the s60 seats bolted in? no modifications?
The seats are completely bolt in when you use the factory rails which in turn uses factory motors. That solves two issues; forward and backward motion and seat mounting. Only thing after that is to splice two wires
for up and down on seat. Which are brown and pink if I recall. Now that I know how it's done it literally takes an a couple of hours to do the two front seats.

Installed R door panels. Another shot
of the s60 seats.

So you attached the S60 seats to the V70 rails? Nice work.
Exactly and the motor for up and down is just spliced and crimped to old wires. They are even the same colors I believe. S80 seats will bolt in the same . My wife's car have those. Can't decide which ones are more comfortable.
Looks great! I wonder if the 960 rails would bolt to S60 seats... Hmmmm...

Have no clue on 960s
