Anyone tried KG Trimning extractor manifold or 2.5" exhaust system for 240 w/ b230F

Hello,

I was giving some serious thought to purchasing this: https://www.kgtrimning.org/tuning-special/b23b230b234/typ1-240.html and this: https://www.kgtrimning.org/200-ser-1/exhaust-system/sport/876-h.html until a forum member mentioned to me that he had purchased the manifold and it was in direct conflict with the location of the transmission cross member. Almost as if it was designed for a different car. Has anyone had that problem with it?

My IPD exhaust rotted after one winter and hit the pavement earlier today. That was earlier than expected so for monetary reasons I've become primarily interested in the KG 2.5" exhaust system alone. Has anyone used this system? Any problems fitting it up to the stock downpipe? Yes, I realize that it has no catalytic converter.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Following. I am also considering the 2.5” system.

I asked a similar question on FB about the extractor manifold and was surprised about the ill fitment (FB comments were primarily about the KL Racing header tho).

i'll get some pictures after work of what needed to be modified on mine. And you'll get to see what 20 months of Massachusetts roads did to it, haha

I had a '92 245 with a KG-T header and a custom 2.5" exhaust. The car had a t5 trans swap with a modified volvo cross member. There weren't any clearance issues that I recall.

Thanks very much. I wonder if there would have been a clearance issue with the factory transmission cross member.
