Do not use any lube with friction modifier. It will destroy the clutches in a G80. I have this warning outlined in my 240 rear end page:

But they are not the same type of clutch as in a conventional, LSD. That is, they are not controlling the "slip". Thus, do not require the modifier. Is that it? These G80 threads are like politics. Somebody please tell me, in logical terminology, why these clutches require the modifier, or do not---puhlEEEZ. I'm dying to know. Thanks Hi-Perf, I have indeed seen Eaton's input.
I also found a thread in which someone says no, they do not require the modifier, but the G80 will run quieter with it.
