90 Volvo 240 m47 NA with V cam at the moment. I have turbo- manifold- ezk and ecu from turbo car. I?m going to buy a intercooler next. I?ll probably gradually work my way up with a T3 turbo to 250 plus ho. Looking for advice which way should I go. Really don?t want to hack my car up but don?t mind some modifications. Should I go with a factory used or eBay or krracing?thanks

Just go with the factory IC. If you can find the upper and lower rad/IC mounts from a turbo 240 you're in business for a drop in swap. There are better intercoolers out there but for 250hp, you can't beat it.

def start with the stock unit.

KL Racing offers an upgraded version of the stock IC which is nice and drops in.

The NPR is a popular alternative as well since it is close to the same size as the stock IC but is thicker and has better flow paths. Requires some "fitting" to get it set up in a 240.

However, I wouldn't worry about an IC upgrade until you have your turbo setup installed and dialed in.

I forgot to add; I want to keep my AC. Thanks for the advice, not sure if I will be able to find a stock one unless I buy new. Just thought if I was buying new then I would try and get an upgrade. The NPR might be a good option but looks like they run near 300 bucks. Thanks for info.

I'd post in the wanted section...I'm sure someone has a used OE intercooler for you.

here's one that may still be for sale:
