![]() I really don't think it'll be done by IPD. I'm still waiting on a couple things for the engine. Plus I don't want to road trip on an engine I'm breaking in. Constant rpm can't be good for ring seating.
I'm still going though.

![]() Still working on painting the engine bay, and still waiting for some parts to finish the engine.
![]() I took the struts off to improve a weld a bit and found I need new strut inserts. Any recommendations? I don't think I want Bilstein HDs again. ![]() Last edited by t8fanning; 05-17-2018 at 10:05 AM.. |

![]() That's what I'm thinking I'll do now. I really want some JRZs but not sure if I can justify it.

![]() +1 on the Koni yellow's. Got them on mine, had them on the R, really happy with them. Usually go on sale this time of year as well.
$448 shipped for front and rear from these guys... https://www.tunersports.com/koni-spo...-2_p19841.html I've bought from them a few times in the past, no issues.

Gaz are great too, the price for a pair of those is probably easier to accept, haha. |

![]() I got one of the last parts I need to finish up the engine. I had an old RSI square tooth adjustable cam gear. When I pulled the timing belt, I found the belt had worn away at the gear so I figured I'd upgrade to a round tooth belt. I didn't want to buy a whole new gear, so I talked to the Beckers at STS machining and they sold me the outer ring only. It's a perfect fit. You can swap inner hubs and outer rings between the STS gear and the RSI gear.

![]() Paint and clear are on. There is some dust in the paint and some runs. Hopefully I'll be able to sand and smooth them out. It's about the best we could do in my small dusty, dog hair filled garage.

![]() Not yet. Engine and trans are in, but that's it. My motivation has been low and I've been working on my Dad's Tacoma and my buddy's Civic. But I'll get it running in the next couple weeks. The stuff I have to do is just not fun.
I did get my sunroof painted and installed all new sunroof seals. Did a decent job, but they could definitely be straighter. I also need to adjust the rear of the sunroof up as well. ![]() |

![]() I've been rafting the middle fork of the salmon river in Idaho the past week, but I got most everything in before I left.
![]() I just need to get new spark plugs, fill the trans and engine with fluids, bleed the clutch, and install the exhaust and it should be ready to start. It won't be ready to drive until I get a big package from Ben. Hopefully that comes in the next week or so. |
