more tire, more power, more smoke...thats why dude in the bimmer won and is what you need

That was the line told before the race by judges by the way. The first round - rear at the outside, second - the long oval - front at the inner appexis. I scored 24 from 30 points for the line.. Wouldn't be if I would have been so far away, I think........

What a wacky line.

Still, well done. :) good luck next time!

Hello again,

We had an event of Museum night - in the Motors museum me and 2 more guys were invited to make a drift demonstration. It was awsome! about 5000 people watching and cheering .. I had a photo session with fans after that for about an half an hour... Pictures coming soon.. Volvo power :-P :oogle:

P.S. Painted wheels black. Looks much better and more aggressive..

little update... we scipped 2nd drift event:roll:

but did>

after killing M46.... stronger gearbox hunt began. As in my country there were very little chance to get M90 or BMW getrag... I asked help from neighbour countries Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania etc.

We had only one week till race, witch we hoped to attend.

So while waiting answers from neighbour countries, went threw local adverts once more and found one redblock M90 in unknown condition......it was from a crushed car so went to see it...

shifters arm was broken and few craks at rear mount..... gearbox costed $110 checked that gears seemed to shift nicely..bought it right away

and took it home...which one to choose:lol:

000021629351_%23_2_%23_volviz.jpg

quick fix for shifter:

000021629352_%23_2_%23_volviz.jpg

previously thought that biggest problem will be qearbox... but with 4days till race... there I wasn't able to find cluch disk....and in my country there are no 940TDI with 228mm and 20spinles.. at least none of parts dealers could find in their books.... so I managed to get cluch disk from 850GLT

000021629353_%23_2_%23_volviz.jpg

costed $100 same as gearbox:rofl:

When I thought that all problems are gone....next one striked... as I needed longer cardan (linkage from gearbox to rear end) and ofcourse none was availible in junkyards.. I gave it to shop who promised to lenghten original from M46 setup. And they didn't.... 3days and they did nothing.... it was thursday ... registration for race on Saturtday evening....

took cardan home and with friends lenghtened ourselves....

friday...

open hood evening...

000021629529_%23_2_%23_volviz.jpg

After some time car was asambled and ......ready to go?...... nope....hidraulic system for clutch is next step.... pumped all air out...... test... and - NOTHING hydraulic system was working but it was not able to press out cluch.......:wtf:

It was friday evening..... when I was reading printed out M90 writeup once more... an I found sentence witch made me almost cry:
................................
adjusting cluch:

.............Because if the clutch fork is not in the right angle, the following things will happen:

* The clutch fork will touch the gearbox before it is fully disengaged.

* The clutch for will get far away from the slave cylinder, and the piston in the slave cylinder will pop out. If it doesn't, it will still have the wrong angle.

If the test isn't done before final assambling..you will need to take gearbox off.....

................................

So I drove home to get some sleep and reset brain..... in next morning we decided not to pull gearbox off....but....... flex bigger hole in gearbox, to make fork's adjustment possible without removing box.....

Saturday ...noon.... test drive.... car is going.... cardan didn't came in cars cockpit, and vibrations are more from wheels than cardan itself.....

in evening took car to track for test before race registration.... lack of training, very technical track... and after 4 testlaps...Kristin said that she will not compeat in race...

I said..that I will try car in track and the we decide what to do..... wen't out and in first lap cluch cilinder blew out gasket....

towed car home...

watched race from pitline.....and on monday car was ready again... wen't to same track for test and..... gearbox was doing fine.... but something wrong with engine... at 0.9bars it cuts off... but that is next paragraph

Now about that ignition cut, I PMed frpe82 ....guess he is too busy.. so will post here

While testing M90 soon noticed that engine tends to cut off in 2nd gear near 5000 rpm.... than started to watch on boost gauge as soon car gets to 0.8-0.9bar of boost for few secs it cuts off....

I run only fuel chip, standart turbine, weather temp - +25 Celsius, running on 98 octane gasoline...

On way back to garage tested car in 3rd gear... to see if big air flow will help to cool down....same situation.... just above 4000rpm...0.9bar of boost for 2-3 seconds and something cuts off...

.....

next day did more testing and here is what I have to say:

Firstly I added new fuel to see if there are no changes... all the same, can't hold the boost.

Then disconected lamda sond .... but the same as I get to 0.9bar for second or two..something cuts off

Then changed fuel filter.... nothing.

Then advanced ignition as far as mechanicaly possible.. puted car under boost... and hurrey gain about 500rpm before cut off... now it was shutting down at the same 0.9bar but now in range of 5500rpm in second gear and bit earlier in third... but now engine could whistand boost for something like 4seconds....

Then I came to conclusion..that temperatures in combuston chamber are to high....

- I decided to add 20% of E85 to petrol.. to see what will happen....

idled car for a while .... drow slowly..constantly giving it harder and harded... then crossed my self and put pedal to metal :-P.....

and I gain something like 300-400revs... now it was cutting off near 5800 in second.... and 5500 in third... lowered boost till 0.7bar.. and I could get into revlimitter in second and third.....

then raised boost again till 0.8-0.85Bar boosting in second gear from something like 30km/h start it went strongly till revlimitter...and in third it went up and hit boost cut just before revlimiter a bit past 6000rpm.

...................

so.... what can be said in conclusion?

either my T25 is now producing more air than it did..or weather temp has great impact on my brick

maybe one of injectors is defected or working badly?

I quess it can't be some kind of boost leak?

Is it possible to adjust MAF to help it run richer... I know on LH 2.2 on Volvo480 it was possible to do....

I need chipable EZK from sweden or USA or somewhere else..cause I can't find one here in Latvia

I have set of CI injectors 42lb/hour... it is time to switch to E85?

I need bigger intercooler....?

I need wideband sond... to understand whta is going on in engine....

I need Hi-Tuning and T-bricks sticker on my brick to keep all the gremlins off the car.

Any coments welcomed.....
