Headlight grill cover for my 78?

I have a set of 7" head light grill covers, and and extra set of chrome surrounds. Messing around tonight, here is a very rough fitment, ignore the extra tab material sticking out. It will be for my 78 242 flathood. Lights are Cibie H4 conversions. I must be bored...

Do it or no?

Probably use rivets, but welding could be an option. Only really need 2 welds per grill
