boost control solenoid

I would give it a try since it is not that expensive new, comes from a known company (Pierburg has done crap for the Volvo), can be found at the yard, and chances are when people crank up the boost in those whiteblock powered cars they do not change it (you can check in the other volvo board to see if they complain about it failing).

A third option is the one every turbo Saab comes with since they put the APC system in them.

I have used that with Maxxecu. Dole-man says yes. Pwm frequency was 20Hz. Pay attention to polarity when wiring. It nicely adjusted boost with better than 0,1 bar accuracy.

Thanks. Good to know about the frequency. My Haltech is currently for 33hz.

You wouldn't happen to know which side is positive, would you?

And is this picture I found correct?

Thanks

Why don't you use an AEM boost solenoid ? Sure isn't stock but has worked good for me.

Also Audi N75 valve is the choice of many here, with good result not for extreme conditions though.

Greddy Profec is a nice complete boost control also widely used in tuners cars
