Ah I should mention the VISTA competition. We placed #1 in Canada, and we ended up 4th in the world.

I also bought a set. Had Eric Olson bring them along to Seattle from Stockholm, then Trevor+ shipped them to me. Saved 90 Euros in shipping...

I want a set! They look great, certainly don't have to worry about them deforming or shearing off.

Looks very interesting. And I can support a board member. I haven't bought anything yet. Gotta make sure it will work with the DSM adapter (which I don't think it should have a problem with)

The other advantage, is they won't force the T5 transmission mount backwards, like Dave Barton has shown in pictures a few times.

The shipping was a bit brutal. I thought of picking them up next time I'm over there, or having one of my peers who travel there regularly for training pick them up for me. I was surprised when they showed up in two days. Maybe if I had emailed them in advance and asked for slower shipping, it would have been cheaper. Oh well.

best is you weld on a tab on the aux shaft and use the plate as a mount for the trigger together with the oem 60-2

whos the maxxecu guy on here?

Justile. Check the "Cable VS E throttle" in the EMS forum.

Question about my Cams.

Both are slotted. I've found the markings on the rear are "UA and E" (I marked them when coming out, and the E was in the intake side.

From the green manual, the car cams are marked U and U1. What the heck do I have? I was under the impression that they were stock NA cams. The head is from a Penta engine though. I can't find a Penta manual to find what they were marked.

For those of you with wide wheels/tires. On a 240, how much room should I have between the inside of the rear wheel to the body? Right now I'm @ 1.5" with the axle centered at as close to ride height as I can get (might end up a bit lower). Suspension is quite stiff with 250lb springs in the rear.

Can't delete my post. Guess the forums have changed. Saw you were interested in MaxxECU.

I also got my MaxxECU race from Justile (Justus@jjfab.net) and he's been super helpful too. Very excited about it, I think you'll dig it Jordan.

I actually looked at it the past few weeks, and touched it last weekend!

I installed the KL racing cams. I have to just set up the proper valve openings and time the engine.

The new GT series turbo is going to interfere with my current dual waste gates. Once I can lay the engine in the bay, my fabricator buddy will come over and redesign the waste gate side.

Brakes are all ready to go in. Suspension is pretty much done, but now I'm thinking of ditching what I have and getting a GAZ set up from Josh. I have delrin bushings from STS to install on my current arms, but then I saw a group-a style adjustable A-Arm. I might as well wait on those?

Windshield was removed last weekend. I might start getting serious about the body work/paint job this summer.

My 7 year old daughter painted up the oil pan over the weekend.

I have the transmission ready to be torn down. I have all new bearings for the thing, but I don't have syncro's or forks or anything else. I'm unsure if I will just inspect and reuse what I have, or just order an entire rebuild kit (I would have done this a few months ago, but everywhere was out of entire kits, I recently got an email from 5 speeds that said they're back in stock).

Honestly, it and the truck project are both at the front of my mind right now. I haven't hated looking at the jobs required lately. So maybe some serious progress will happen in the next couple of months.

*note*- I was going to price out a MaxxxECU from JJfab, but I got a warning from google saying the site is a fraud. I also noticed they do not snow up on Max's website as an authorized dealer any more.
One of my friends here who has a 16VT going in a 245 just bought a ecuMASTERs system. Pretty affordable. That had me thinking about going with it (since we will have matching cars essentially, this might make it easier for both of us to get on a dyno for tuning at the same time). I am still pretty set on a maxxecu though.

Also, because of where the turbo sits, and the drain in the block, I'm going to need something like a 70 degree AN fitting. Do these exist? I've looked a couple times in our suppliers catalogue and can't find a listing. But might be able to supply a part number.

Goodridge sells a 75° crimp fitting in -10, -12 and -16 sizes. It's on page 6 and the part number is 4076-DBZ.
