I plasti-dipped my 780 Bertone.

Its sh!t like this that keeps me up at night and causes me to go into work late.

I'd say your life is pretty good then!
I've heard the saying..."first world problems."

What I like about TB threads is that each wave carries many riders and cross currents, and staying on topic is only really necessary about once per 2 pages to keep the wave rolling.

Coincidentally I received a shipment from DYC.com (kinda slow to ship out product, can I get a witness?) containing a bunch of stuff, including a couple of cans of the color Jesse used. I wasn't thinking of using it on an entire car, but his looks good to me. Anyone got a web link to that color "glossified?" I'm going to use some gloss white decals on something, and I don't think the gloss white on matte green will look so good, but maybe glossified matte green would be OK. How do you say...first world problems!

I know, i should be banned.

The rarest of all 780's was equipped with a manual. You're in the clear. :)

Good. Then the local pd will crush em while you're otr. Saves me the hassle.

Then I'd sue the local PD out of commission ("I'll bury this place so deep in litigation, your GRANDCHILDREN will need lawyers!") and threaten the county PD with the same fate if they dare set foot on my property with the intention of so much as laying a finger on any of my cars.

What happened to the plasti-dipped project car? Still here right? That thing is too cool. Please post a new picture.

My car was originally automatic, which is boring.

Bertones are like rare Beanie Babies. They were hard to find and worth a lot in the 90's, but now they're worthless and you can just do whatever you want with them or simply throw them away.

That's correct. And mated to a manual trans as well. M90 iirc. Some came in a strait-6 diesel also.

Nope, M46. M90 came 1994 MY.
Yes there are 780's with D24, how tragic

Both the black and silver 780 at the museum is D24

on topic; love the result! Thinking of doing the same on mine and a friends Golf 2

That's what I want to find/buy. An Italian market 780 with the B204GT engine and M46. That's how they should have been offered in every country. Now, a D24 in a Bertone, that was utterly ridiculous, IMO.
