Based on the quality of that 'slice', you might want to spend a little time going over the car and doing some electrical clean up.
Hardest part is finding time when I work as much as I do, but I get as much done as I can on my days off.
What I needed to do was add a 50/50 mix of blinker fluid to the blinkers.
On most of cars we did import from the famous USA we did find "electrical solutions" like this.
