242 build , next one "bumperless"

All cut out with fresh piece welded in .


Last week I spend fixing the windshield mounting area.
This is piece that was bent , then shrunk and welded in .






Front fenders, radiator support and front cross bar are all primed
 
Lately in NY we had a very low temperatures. Shop where is the car isn't the busiest place, so when is really cold it doesn't pay to use heat . That slowed me down a lot.
Did some minor work on front fenders.
In the mid-time I decided to bring back my wheels to days of glory .
Centers got powder coated and lips polished .

It took a while , but finally I got the body primed . Doors still need some work but compare to the rust that I had to fight for last months it's a piece of cake .
Today I was able to do some more final sending , I got no more finger prints left.
Any ways car is grey now .











 
Carisle was my plan. Didn't work out at all . My daughter had a graduation ceremony on Saturday so I wasn't there till Sunday. We all know what weather looked like on Sunday.
 
So finally after all this sanding and trying to get all the little imperfections straight out . Car got to the spray booth and paint work came out nice !






And this is what we got after applying stupid expensive chemicals










This is 16 hours after it got painted outside . Look even better in the sun

Moving forward .
Installed sound detonating padding
I got 3 new seals for a front door for 90 4 door 240s ,Just to make is little better if it comes to wind noise.
Rear window is installed , Carpets and Recaros .
Rear panels . After weekend I will have hood painted underneath so we can install it .
Still need to work a little on rear bumper , And get the black striped painted

















 
is that a recaro classic? I have one and I love it.

Now I need to get outside and repaint my red 244. yours looks excellent

I got new fuso intercooler installed with nice brackets,
Most of the front end is almost all together .
Today I was fighting with dash , had to get it done because tomorrow new windshied is getting installed
