Is there some indicator (maybe within the VIN) if a particular 700/900 came with a b234? My understanding is Volvo introduced this in 1989 and in the 740 GLEs. Hoping to save some time while trolling the Junk Yard inventory lists...
 
Got a B234F and a B204GT manifold in the garage, also a custom manifold i bought a few years back, still no proper car for that engine
 
Somehow I missed this thread when it started 8 years ago??? And now a random bump after 5 years of silence... Weird. But I'm in! The Ultimate resurrection thread. I have had a couple 16v turbos. And It is still one of my favorite powerplants of all time. I have to say this from my 2019 self, it is MUCH harder to find parts lately. The engines don't show up in the junkyard any more...

Here is my current project. It should be running in January 2019 I hope.
It's a 92 740 wagon that has been sitting for 10 years. A friend let me pull it out of his backyard to use as a daily driver. I just had to "get it running" first. Good thing I had a couple heads and parts squirreled away in my basement from my old 16VT days...

And a little tribute to my old Volvo wagon, since I missed this thread in 2011 when I still had the car. Anybody know where my wagon is today?

they did not show up lol, that was part of the question hahahahaha

I drove the all aluminum 16v to work today, but I'm not sure it counts for this thread ;)
