I got this car December 04 for ?350 off ebay. Its a 1989 740 B230ET with M46. It had 173000 Miles when i first got it.

Travelled down on the train then got a lift with Griz to pick up the car. Its then a 140 mile trip back home.

On the way, had a meet up with griz and chas

After running the car of a couple of weeks, its time to clean it up and fix a few issues

During this time, it had its first Turbobricks meet - UK meet 6. At this meet, one of the foglights decided to stop working.

At the end of February, the car had a service and a few other parts added to it

The back exhaust box bracket had broken just after I had the car so I found a way of routing the gases another way

Pete (chesh740r) had a spare silver splitter so we replaced the black one for a better look.

I had some driving lights left over from my old 745 so we fitted these to the car

They make a huge different to the light output.

At the start of May 05, I had managed to get hold of a set of lowering springs and shocks from ebay. With Pete (chesh740R) and Griz's help, we got these fitted.

Some of the bolts need a bit of help.

Besides the foglight what other things did you have to repair?

In December 05 with Dave's (volvorsport) help, the engine had some upgrades

A new t3/t4 hybrid turbo, K&N filter, Strut Brace, Baileys DB26 Dump valve, Chipped ECU and a new mbc.

This has made a big difference to the way the car drives. It pulls so much better when it is in boost and yet, if a lot more fuel economical under 2500 rpm.

I have also changed my dash and switch lights for blue wideangle leds.

Just a few niggles - bulbs in the dome light not working, glove box door coming loose, washer jets blocked etc etc.

Nice! You know I've always liked that car.

Why no pice of the 'Fix/service Ryans car meet', or the modified headlining??:-P
