Default Custom A/C lines Atco Air-O-Crimp

Im looking at making some custom A/C lines for my 164 with its modernised a/c system and wondering whats the best way to go about this economically.

I have been recommended to use this DIY crimp style system rather than the beadlock style since the tool to make these is exorbitantly priced but wondering if these is a legitimate way to make a/c lines since ive found very little evidence of this style been used.
