my 940t and some bling

Yeah i know sound deadening weighs allot. My buddy and i will be doing a custom fiberglass box to cut down on that. The difference is dramatic as far as road noise is concerned. Also once the koolaid man shows up ill eventually do an ls swap so power wont be an issue
 
ok, so ive got a little more done in the last week. bought some more sound deadener and installed it in the interior. did the entire floor, roof and rear seat. still left to do is the door panels and the trunk lid, but I ran out and sound deadening is expensive!! I also put in the glass sunroof ive had laying around, and still need to figure out how to mount the old style motor cover on. im thinking Velcro. at the same time I redid the headliner in black to make the interior look clean. today I pulled out one of the recaros I have stored to clean up and start figuring how to get them in. pulled my steering rack also to get it rebuild and that turned into a fiasco, so its on stands for the moment until I sort that out. heres a few pics of progress

and one of my RECAROS bought with 15 miles on them!!! also bought 2 sets of rear seats from the same guy so a I can wrap the Volvos rear seat. should be NIIIICE!!

also forgot to mention that I bought some SE sideskirts. will be buying the optional front lip and rear roofline spoiler from europe in a bit when I have some more cash. will probably be mounting my uber rare late style foglights and sidemarkers soon!!
 
I bought a nos snow cap and found a REALLY good price for the vinyl wrap I want. im thinking I might get it done this year after all! I also finally put the recaro buckets in. im going to end up making some new brackets later because they sit a little high, but overall they work well. Ill be getting the rear seats rewrapped in the recaro fabric coming up. I finished trimming out the headliner so the interior looks relatively complete! this thing is getting there!! also took a few pics at cranbrook after I had it wheeled out.

Looks great! As you may have seen, I'm starting in on restoring my 91 740 SE: http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=323418

Next week, I will have an intensive detail job with 3 step paint correction, polishing, and 5 year sealant applied. Interior will also be done as well. Later will have the spoiler painted, interior work, and new wheels.

I am also wondering what to do with my worn and torn front seats. I'm considering everything ranging from re-upholstery, to sheepskin covers, to finding front seats from a 980 in good condition, to something like what you have there. Can I ask how much? Are they comfortable for longer drives? The original seats are comfortable on the highway, but around town do not provide much lateral support. Thanks for your comments.
 
I stole the seats basically. They I have like 20 miles on them so they're basically brand new. I bought the front buckets and two sets of rear seats for $450. As far as comfort, nothing's really going to beat Volvo seats, but Volvo seats also give up a lot in performance for comfort. Comfort is dependent on your body style as well.

I'm 5-10 and about 175 give or take, but I have wide shoulders. The seat fits very well except the upper shoulders are still a little tight. like i say the seats are new so a little break in will be needed before I make any long-term opinions.

As well these specific seats are out of a Fiesta ST. I've heard that the Focus ST seats have a little bit wider area inbetween the bolsters. Personally even if the seats arent super comfortable, I only use the car for fun summer driving for the most part. I'm willing to sacrifice a little bit of comfort for stability, and these seats won't let you move an inch!

Thanks, but I've already got a reflective decor panel for my 940. I'm going to sell it because my stereo is going to make it rattle like crazy. Hopefully my buddy will help me build the box and amp racks this week

So ive had a set of 5x108 borbet type A's sitting for awhile and finally got them powdercoated. Heres a pic. The tires are getting mounted tomorrow!:oogle::oogle::oogle:
