The dude that teched it this year was super cool about it, the lady that was in the booth was the one that booted me even after I said I wouldn't do another full send. Good thing she did though because I was totally lying

Yeah, one of the tech's out there, older guy, is awesome for sure. He checks for the hoopties but he can tell the legit guys pretty quick as well. The lady in the booth has to boot people, just because of the rulebook, can't fault her for it. Probably better off not testing that one. lol

Oh I don't hold a grudge against any of them. They are just doing their jobs. And I know what I'm doing is not cool at all

No updates on the Volvo but since I'm all over the place with project cars. I decided to yank the perfectly good and built 401 and 727 out of my gremlin and swap in the lq4 out of my 244 into it, I put a set of late model pistons in it and it's ready to swap in. Made mounts, converted the whole car to a brake system from a non abs sn95 mustang and got the 80e in the correct position. Plan is to do drag week in 2021 with it so it will have a full cage and all the fixins.

PIR is also the only track in the whole country which is also a city park, so they tend to be pretty strict with it.

Yea that would be fun! Not trying to set the world on fire with the first attempt but it would be a ton of fun just to do it.

Drove the car last weekend to cars and coffee in Santa Cruz and had a great time. No updates really, just enjoying the car as Is

Got the intercooler and all the piping done on the gremmy as well as the hotside. Mock-up is out and the 6.0/80e is ready to drop in!

I worked on it for once! The 1979 battery cable gave up the ghost so I did a new power cable for it, it seems happier now at wot. The gremlin is as done as I can get it without a lift to do the traction bars. I picked up a 2jz ge out of a wrecked gs300 at the junkyard, I don't know what I'm going to use it in but I always wanted one to mess with so I've been plugging away at that. Got some reground cams, springs and some eBay goodies for it and am planning on running it on the stand. Other then that all is well with all the projects. Mostly have been spending time on 2 lt5 swaps we got going on at my dad's shop which has been alot of fun.

Heh, I thought the second pic was the 240 engine bay at first glance. "How'd he get that much room between the radiator and engine???"

Don't know just yet I'm going to do all the suspension and interiorbstuff on the wagon first before I decide on the powerplant
