Admins

The search is button is an error message machine. NO other forum I frequent has this level of frustration. There is a wealth of information on here. PLEASE, make it easier to find.

stock and exhaust and 740 and turbo-error
change timing belt- error, but using changing worked
check valve-error
broken exhaust manifold stud-error

I'll second that. I understand that a lot of work goes into the forums and it is appreciated, but the search errors have been a problem for a long time. And it sure doesn't stop the repost nazis from calling it out or the people who say "SEARCH FIRST!". Its kinda hard when we can't.

converted the search database to use mysql's 'fulltext' search functions. This is to reduce the load on the server and hopfully get rid of that pesky memory error we've been haunted with for the last 6 months.

When using boolean fulltext search, you can use the same operators that the normal vBulletin search supports, .e.g. OR AND NOT. You can also use quotes to surround phrases.

does this mean i can't make harmless albeit hilarious jokes in CSS anymore?

edit:// actually, can't you just have vbull parse the script tag so it doesn't display? i suppose embedded flash can be just as bad though, right?

Is there a way to leave HTML display on but turn off the ability to post new HTML on a user group basis? There are a lot of existing threads that are messed up due to legacy HTML.

k, minor annoyance that went askew sometime in the last year or so and never got fixed I guess...

when hitting the insert image button on the advanced editor, use to be if you highlighted the image URL then hit the button, it'd automatically add the tags to the highlighted URL. Now, no matter what, it requires you to put the URL into the box that pops up. I've been waiting patiently to see if this was ever going to be fixed, but it doesn't appear that anyone's noticed or gotten around to it.
