Wow. It is coming along nicely. Its always painful to have to go back and redo something youve already done, but at least theres no ceramic in the engine now. I had brown 2 year old gas in my 240. I used the pump to pump it out into a bucket.

well the gas is old (more than 2years) but when it was falling out of the fuel pump as I replaced the old line with newer, bigger line it was clear and smelled like normal gas so...we'll see how things go.

I've got spark issues right now though and work picked back up so we'll see when I get back to this. Hopefully it's something simple. In the mean time though, my Greddy Turbo Timer and Profec-B boost controller just arrived from Japan today.

Life got in the way again. Car is now mostly put back together with 65lb injectors, LH2.4 with a b204 16v map. Starts and idles great. timing belt got a little dry rotted sitting over the years so after we get that replaced and a wideband installed, I think it's time to send the car to emissions And of course, huge thanks to thelostartof for always being there for me when I need help and/or motivation.

Welcome back. I've been following this thread for a while, was sad to see it go without update for so long.

Usually it's just a nexus of money and time; but given the problems it's had, and my health issues, it's a nexus of money, time, motivation, and health.

Magically I have just enough of all 3 right now, and thelostartof's help, to make the final drive.

We've toned things down a bit just to get it smogged. e85, 65lb delphi injectors, LH, and likely 10psi. A meager 280-320hp is expected.

Bhp? and why are you using such a small radiator? Didn't that car come with the bigger one?

Looks and sounds great!

No, we're thinking that's gonna be whp. That turbo is good for high to mid 400.

I went with the NA radiator over turbo for clearance reasons. Keeping the bottom of the radiator flush with the bottom of the intercooler results in some cramping for the intake side intercooler pipe and BOV. The shorter rad fixes the issue while keeping ground clearance. The system doesn't really need the extra size in any case.

Dismantled and cleaned the parts from 3 960 arm rests to cobble together one fully working one, including a working latch (always broken...dealership still had them orderable!). yay.

Update in post 3. album: http://imgur.com/a/y4yZQ#0

Still to do before smog: Install new tires, new heater control valve, sand alone thermostat for e-fan, seal up a couple exhaust leaks, drive 100-200miles.

Tires ordered. 205/55r16 Yokohama S.Drives. Should be 'good enough' for daily use with minimal hoonage. This not even my final form, I guess.

Mounted tires. Fixed all/most of the exhaust leaks (for now) with butyl tape. installed stand alone thermostat for e-fan. Installed and routed a 4hose bypassing heater bypass valve (so that even closed coolant still flows from the back of the head to the water pump).

Seems like as soon as I get a stable no-load idle the car will be ready for some miles and then a run through emissions.

pulls real good. only set to 7psi, creeps to 9 on WOT.

minor issue still to be resolved before going to emissions though; bog with minor throttle input at low speeds (looks like the BOV is an "always open" type, waiting for a mod kit to fix that). Also a minor timing issue. Car starts right up no problem, timing light shows 5degrees off at the crank. It should be 10, no?
