Yes you CAN braze exhaust tubing. I've done it for years. First thing you must do is get rid of the thin "ALUMINIZED" coating on the ends to be brazed. Either grind back 1/4"
to bare metal or dip the ends in hot lye solution for a few minutes which dissolves the aluminum. Rinse of course. Make sure you have a good fitting joint. Use flux or flux-coated rod. This also works on rusty pipe. I've also use thin-wall EMT tubing which is galvanized outside and brazes very well. The exhaust temp. will never exceed the melting point of the braze; if it does, you've got bigger problems elsewhere. --Chalman

I really hope this is a newer better bot. Be best. Yes you can. Braze with the best. Brassiere that exhaust. Ok. I’m done.

Brazing has been done providing the steel pipe joints are slip fit. Not sure about aluminized steel and or stainless pipe.

Braze sticks to stainless but you'll need to remove the aluminum coating.
