Default Ride Height of a 242

Does anyone know the stock ride height of a 242? Also, did Volvo measure from center of wheel to wheel arch?

I'm trying to figure out if my car is sagging or not. I think the guy I got it from back when said he cut springs at some point, but I believe he swapped non cut springs back in before selling it to me. Trying to refurbish my suspension now that my engine and trans are mostly taken care of.

Thanks!

Default ZF Rack Seals, Sway Bars

Just a couple more questions to add to this thread:

1. My ZF steering rack is leaking into the bellows. Is there an inexpensive seal kit for getting those outer seals replaced? The rack still works fine.

2. My front sway bar measures just over 18mm, my rear 19mm. Does that mean my front was swapped for the smaller 18mm? Would a 19.5mm be a worthwhile upgrade?

The '81 New Car Features greenbook lists the height of the GLT, GL and GLE (at curb weight) from the ground to the center of the roof (high point) @ 1427mm (56.2").

Okay, thank you for that! Looks like my 242 sits right close to that. I expect the springs are uncut, and likely not original, which is great.

Hmm, okay. Where does one find an 18mm bushing, anyway?

I guess my ZF is a type 3. I found this thread in which the OP mentions that he bought just the shaft seal: http://www.forums.turbobricks.com/sh...d.php?t=335887

Wonder where the OP found those..
