I tried a 2.25" one on my 240 turbo. Didn't like it at all. Sounded just loud and detuned. I had it changed to a flowmaster muffler. Which is another whole story.

I have my factory resonator in place with a magnaflow as my main muffler. Sounds good, not too loud at all! Its 2.25" after the resonator.

Not a 240, but on my 145, I've got a header with a 2in cherry bomb. It's 17 inches long. It pretty much sounds like an open header.

I used a Cherry Bomb Vortex muffler, it's similar to a Flowmaster or Magnaflow. Full size free flowing muffer, very inexpensive and made of way thicker steel. It outlasted the Magnaflow I had by years.

Interesting. Was your Magnaflow a stainless muffler? Just curious, as it would suck to have mine go out quickly

No, it was a steel one. It still cost $50 more than the Cherry Bomb. The steel Vortex muffler is under $40 in 3".

The stainless Magnaflow should last a long time.

Definitely sounds like a better deal. I've heard good things about Cherry Bomb muffler quality.

Okay, good. Just wanted to make sure

My 3" magnaflow muffler on the turbo is 18 years old now. Last summer one of the turbobrickers in Phila came over and helped me repair the rusted pipes. But the muffler was fine.
