Default 740 cable clutch pedal pics

Hi Team,

Does anyone have pictures of a 740 (cable) clutch pedal they could post for me, please? It's just the pedal itself I'm interested in.

cheers

James

Someone probably does have photos (that hypothetical person would not be me), but based on your earlier thread, you're trying to modify a LHD cable pedal into a backwards-facing hydraulic version for a RHD 16-valve.

All I have is a couple of drawings from my 88-90 740 parts catalog.

LHD cable. is the pedal plastic? The arm pattern suggests so...

RHD hydraulic.

That's very helpful - thanks. I don't think I have a computer running VADIS anymore.
Yeah...this looks like a dead end. I agree that it looks plastic, and it doesn't have a suitable attachment point at the top anyway.
Maybe not the outcome I was hoping for, but it answers the question!

My current backup plan is to modify a 300-series pedal (all cable, and readily available). I'll pursue that route for now! I'll also check out the RHD 8v hydraulic pedal, see if it's steel, and if it would be easier to weld an arm onto the top of it.

Thanks again!

cheers

I have a 700 hydraulic set up and the clutch pedal is indeed steel.

It is also for sale!

I think if we're talking about hydraulic pedals, I might as well modify a RHD pedal (all of which were hydraulic - no cables here). Current plan is to compare how big of a job it would be to modify both a RHD 8v 740 pedal, and the (cable) pedal from a 340/360.

cheers
