A while back I was a bit bored and took some photos of the car. :D

What happend so far: I bought some ECE-approved LED license plate lights to replace the stock ones legally. They are way to bright... I'll try to find another road legal solution in the long run, which will look better at night.
The xenon style fillament bulbs I had installed in the DRL / parking light lasted about 3 weeks, so I replaced them with some Osram LEDs.

I was looking for a 531 head for my FT for a while now and finally got one for cheap. Well, the rest of the engine was still attached...

I'll refurbish the head and maybe do some slight modifications.

Last but not least I replaced the stock injectors with some Bosch EV6 ones. Stock size, since the goal is a reliable and somehow economical daily driver and not a boost monster.
It's running much smoother now and has a lot better throttle response and power band down low. Lets see if it even is noticable on fuel consumbtion.

Those ev6 injectors are a sweet upgrade, I mostly gained milage from the wasted spark setup in combination with those, so that might be a nice future upgrade for your daily

Is the 531 head from a b230fk/ft or an N/A engine? The turbo's came with sodium filled valves which help with cooling, so make sure you put those in, they are the same as those in the 530 heads on the turbo engines;) You probably already know this link, but here's some more detail:

My plan is to do the conversion to LH2.4, since the car still has the LH2.2, and than add the wasted spark as well.
In the long run I'll convert to e-fan as well. That should improve the milage as well.

It's from a B230FB, so it's N/A. I knew about the valves and I know that side. There's a lot of usefull information.
I'm currently thinking about if I should shave the head to gain some compression or if I slap in the FB pistions instead...

I am currently using the ET pistons in a 90+ FK block which I believe are the same as the FB 9.3:1 pistons. I'm running more conservative timing, but the torque is great and no knock up to the 13psi of boost I'm at.

The FK/FT pistons do have a bigger skirt, but are also proven to 500hp, so going with the slightly weaker pistons should be alright.

As far as I know the FB pistions will give you a slightly higher compression, than their FT counterpart.

Two weeks back I made a little road trip to pick up some refurbished seats. Big improvement over the old ones with the hole in the driverside backrest...

I also bought a new emblem for the steering wheel.

I also did the e-fan conversion. I used an e-fan out of a late Volvo 850 and mounted it in the stock fan shroud. Perfect fit and it looks close to stock. I'll redo the wiring when I have a bit more time...

I came across a cheap squirter FT in combination with a M90 literally by accident.
I guess it's time for some more upgrades!

Last weekend a friend and I swapped that squirter FT and the M90 from the wracked 940 into my 740 Turbo.

An M90 is a nice upgrade, congrats on the swap!
