Finally I'm tryed to live tune LH ECU and... There is something wrong basically.
I disable lambda regulation, upload my firmware, adjust AFR on idle, low loads and high load. But how to adjust medium loads? I can't find a good recipe for it. Maybe you there can give me some advices?
In TunerPro I can't find a logging for RPM/LOAD table (mail fuel map) and I have no idea how to log tracing (and as we know trace is slow and sometime wrong).

Hi

LH can absolutely not be "live tuned" per se !

You can actually fry the ECU by changing parameters with engine running.
It is not possible to log the tracing in Tunerpro until someone makes a plugin for that.

Tuning of medium loads is same as all other LH tuning, it is primarily done in the main fuelmap.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but I've been able to live tune using the Ostrich, and upload the tune to the ostrich while the engine is running.

I have been able to do it most of the time too, but 0.01% of the time the car will royally **** itself and flood or crash the computer or go into weird unknown states. I don't do it anymore

I've had it crash the ECU but not anything weirder than that.

Just a quick Update!

Sometimes things are not as they seem... I found the Issue. The FPR was faulty and it pumped fuel right in the Intake... Fixed that, and now it is running like it should! Thank you all!

And yes TÜV is only once all 2 years =)

Finally got my junk on the dyno, using kyle's (klr142) every day mapping as part of the setup, in a later bin file with the e-fan compatibility. I also updated to include the later lambda constants, as I made a comparison sheet for those. The tune got put in a 984 casing and ran on the dyno for a cool 135whp@190Nm. 1500-2000 rpm needs some sorting, possibly some idle enrichment deal that could be improved, in general I'm happy.

To repeat a small summary of the setup for reference:
10.3:1 b230k with stock 530 head
kg004 aka k camshaft
buchka wasted spark
218cc ev6 injectors
bigger J-pipe with turbo exhaust system
Chipped lh2.4 (own tune)

his website has been up and down a ton recently. definitely make a backup of the bins/xdfs. The jetronic part his site is borked right now but the rest of it works. The cert is about to expire as well.

If your referring to beepee, this is an old thread, he might not check as often any more. Jetronic.info appears to be down permanently, but if you tell me which ECU you have I might be able to provide on of the xdf files for looking at your bin.

Do you have a chip burner/ostrich to play around with stuff? Getting a wideband is also a good idea, given the nature of tuning on a old ECU that is partly understood

What car are you trying to tune, turbo/na, 8v/16v? There's heaps of subtile differences between ecu's and thus their memory locations so there is not a generic thing file that will work

This post a bit back in this thread should have a similar xdf, that will work with some tweaking;)

Awesome!! Congrats and nice work! I’m glad it’s been a decent starting point for you and you got it on the dyno. Do you have a chart that shows the air/fuel ratio as well?

The low rpm stuff is tricky, for sure. Some of the problems there have to do with airflow through the intake and exhaust. I have Lambda feedback turned back on in my 244 so it helps with it from going super rich in my car under 2000rpm near full throttle.

Those are 16V computers, correct? I think I have some bin files(if they’re not already in the attachment I posted previously that Swedbrick mentioned), but I don’t have any XDFs to actually tune them. Let me know if you still want something and I’ll see if I can dig them up.

I do have a bunch of bins and xdfs saved on my computers but they’re mostly for 8V n/a applications.

Unfortunately no air fuel on this run, I still had not replaced the S shaped exhaust tip, so we couldn't get the lambda installed. The engine is now going to be living on in a local rally 142, so with a bit of luck it might see the Dyno again when I can be there.

I have a 562 and 954 bin as well as a basic 954 xdf attached. I don't have a bin file for the other two ECUs and no xdf for any of them.

Great, glad that the Jetronic site and all the bins/xdfs are back.

From the home page:

During 2018 there have been good communication with a former Volvo development engineer and several myths and other lore regarding EZK and LH has been busted.
That's very interesting -- is there a write-up somewhere of what was learned?

TIA,
