Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform! You can find some additional information about where we are in the process of migrating the board and setting up our new software here
I didn't know the 3.1 computers have a tendency to croak. Have you checked for bigass vacuum leaks, such as at the intake manifold? How about fuel pressure? I'll echo what Towery said, if you can solve your issue, it'll be a good car. LH2.4 and 3.1 are rock-solid once you've ironed out...
Using a 1992 240: front belts do not fit in the 740/940 receiver. Rear 240 belts do fit. I measured the buckles (? the metal part that pokes into the receiver) but forgot to write everything down - from memory, 240 front buckle is 26mm wide by 2.5mm thick; rear buckle is 20mm wide by 3mm thick.
The release for the latch so I can fold the seats down is dead. It seized one day out of the blue, plastic pull-handle exploded in my hands, no big deal really. Except that I can't even get the seat latch to pop with vise grips on the metal rod that goes to the center of the seat back.
2 part...
It's on the inside
Is it the norm for chemtrails to condense on the inside of 940 clusters?
Summary, more serious: '91 940 turbo, it's misty/drizzling/humid at 60 degrees outside, moderate heat is on in car, no fogged windows, condensation at bottom center of instrument cluster clear plastic...
'91 940 turbo, essentially stock except for Shane's fuel chip. It has a cold start injector. I have a copy of the LH2.4 greenbook and a meter, but haven't gone digging because I'm low on time, so I turn to you fine folks for a gentle nudge in the right direction so I can go from there. :party...
After 16 years of 240 ownership, I feel like trying something different. I also told myself I wouldn't do a project thread for this one, but I love this forum too much, I guess.
A quick jump back to May 2011: I only had one kid, my wife drove an S40, I had a 245 and a horrible, bad Ford Focus...
'91 940 wagon.
I'd like to replace all the rubber window scraper gaskets, a la what Redwoodchair sells for 240s, except this is a 945 and I can't find anyone who sells the rubber.
1. Anyone know where or who I can buy some rubber from?
2. How is the molding removed/how is it attached to the...

What's the deal? Bought a supposedly heavy duty mount, it's all kinds of soft and floppy. I can feel the shifter bouncing when the car traverses small bumps. Are there alternatives, or OE Volvo options that don't suck?
LH2.2 turbo with EZK in a 240. Idle is correct speed with adjustment knob closed, good vacuum, but hiccups. Light throttle/low load at low to mid RPM - lots of hiccups and some bogging/surging. Idle smells fairly rich. Runs great with more throttle, no other running issues. Steady idle when...
The winding journey toward this wagon is a surreal one. It's in a comfy garage, and it has an accompanying Mighty List of Work that I shall valiantly tackle.

'97 960 wagon. Apart from the obvious, i.e. bne-triangle-beigecorp, nivomat rear leaf spring, etc.
What have you folks done? From my initial exploratory digging, I haven't found much out there other than original equip. struts and shocks, which are nasty soft along with those nasty soft stock...
Hoping some of you enterprising, knowledgeable, or maybe just really good-looking people can chime in:
1991 244, ABS, seized front caliper.
Do I go the unknown reman. route(NAPA Altrom, $89) or seek a non-rusty OE caliper from across the country? This is the land of rusty, sticky calipers and...
