After many years, I am back in the volvo club. Missed my old bricks...

'86 760 ti auto. 127k miles

Did complete tuneup, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, cleaned/adjusted MAF, cleaned throttle body, checked 02 sensors, checked vacuum tubes...Had it in to local shop that friend of mine works on old bricks, he couldn't figure it out either.

The car will just still not get up and go when its cold. It falls flat for about the first 3 minutes of driving on takeoff. If its rolling already, it spools like a champ. Once it is up to temp, the car runs like a dream.

searched the forums but still need some help.

Check ECT sensor readings when cold and warmed up. The ECT may be way out of range. I have also had the same type of symptoms with a failing AMM,
