I am in the midst of redoing all the bushing, ball joints and tie rods on our 960 wagon. I have most everything done and got to looking at the new inner tie rods I recieved and they have no indention for a wrench on them. Does anyone know how to change these? I am toying with the idea of sending them back, using the outer tie rods and rolling down the road, the car only has 98xxx miles on it.

Please help me out with this.

I posted this up on brickboards as well.

maybe there is an indentation on the part of the inner tie rod that threads onto the rack. Look under the boot. Actually, if you have the new tie rod ends, look at them and figure out how they are supposed to come off

No indention on either area of the tie rod. I was thinking a pipe wrench or Vice grips, however I don't want to tear them up. I am thinking, just send these back and put the new outers on and be done. Any other thoughts.
