AEM has an LSU 4.9 sensor controller now. $165

The rest use the 'OG' 4.2 sensor

SLC has a $110 controller and I already have an LSU 4.2 sensor.

Innovate has a new MTX-L which is like the AEM - $165ish IIRC with sensor

Innovate also has the LC-2 (an LC-1 with lessons learned?) - $209 with a DB gauge

PLX has their 3rd gen setup with an interesting 52mm gauge - it'll show volts too. ~$180

I'm sure I'm missing a few, but does anyone have any suggestions or experience to guide me?

I have the AEM. What can I say? It works fine and doesn't look too out of place with all the other gauges. I do like the fact that it fit really well in one of the stock gauge pods without really any modifications. Some of them have a lip on the edge of the gauge that you have to grind the bezel down to make it fit. It ends up looking funky. The AEM didn't require any fuss. I also like that it isn't so bright that its distracting at night, yet is easily visible in the day.

I have a MTX-L NIB here that I will be installing on a 16vT this weekend, once we get it setup and running i will try to provide some feedback on the unit.

Another vote for the failsafe, one for each megasquirt which makes 3 now

MTX-L has been in for almost a year now. I should do a free air calibration one of these days, it's overdue. I believe it's using the 4.9 sensor. No problems, works flawlessly.

Edit: Your link to the gauge says 4.2, but I swear I read somewhere... I'll check my manual when I get home to verify.

I've been using a PLX wideband for about 6 months. I really like the gauge functionality, especially how it will show a 10s history of the AFRs in a nice little moving graph.

I vote for PLX. I also ran a MTX-L but it seems to be a bit slower than the PLX in response time. Can't go wrong with the AEM either.

I have the following:
AEM UEGO (940, works fine, probably the older style)
Innovate MXL or mtx or whatever the guage-sensor thing is, that's in the race car. seems to react faster than the AEM. also working great.
I have an LC-1 that I use on other people's cars periodically... no issues with it.
I've also got a plx on the shelf that I haven't used for... anything yet. it looks neat and I'm sure it works fine. it will be pressed into service soon enough.

I had an lc1 on the evo, it didn't start misbehaving until after the cable leaned up next to the exhaust and shorted some things out. it would work fine, but the calibration would drift after a couple of days (not small amounts either). AFAIK it's still on the car now...

AEM. Had one on the Trans Am race car. It was carb'd and survived through a horrible jetting situation. No fuss, good price. AEM always and forever.
