240 modifying pcv system

I was wondering if there would be any ill effects of shortening the tube that goes down toward the oil pan from the breather box of the pcv system. Maybe someone has done this? I couldn't find anything by searching.

The reason I'm asking is that I always have alot of oil in the charge pipe and intake, and I'm about to hook up my intercooler and I dont want to gunk it up with all that oil and stuff.

I'm thinking that if that tube was shorter it would be harder for it suck up straight oil during "spirited" driving.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

If you goto the Stealthfti pbase page. He has a writeup about shortening that pipe. Of course it'll be tough to get it back into the bracket without the engine pan off.
