240 Replacing Early Volvo 240 Quad Headlights

Kinda on topic, but off topic. :)

Has anyone installed good quality LED or projector lights on the quad light cars? I’m not talking about the cheap eBay or Amazon garbage.

It this video is good to know. The fronts of these cars are like LEGO in comparison to most other cars. lol

Kinda on topic...

If full voltage is not getting to headlamps, your lights will appear dim. Alternator output voltage needs to be checked, along with ground(s) cleaned for headlamps and vehicle, and hot side voltage checked at headlamp's positive wire when circuit is loaded.

Headlight wiring for halogen uses some type of resistor wire so alternator voltage is reduced at headlamp terminal. Long story short, buy/get one headlight plug, plug it in to one side, and hook it direct to battery to battery terminals, then see the difference between a factory wire headlamp on the other side when engine is running at say 1,000 RPM.

Again, alternator voltage output can make a big difference, along with dirty grounds. Relays shoot craps also.
