steerign wheel hub/spline questions

I know this isn't necessarily performance, but it;s really not maintenance either. I couldn't decide. if mods decide it;s in the wrong place, then please move it to the right one.

I have an opportunity yo buy a really nice aftermarket steering wheel that was once on a 7.

I want to put it on my 242. will it fit? will I need a different hub? I do not know the year of the 7 it comes off of, but my 242 is a 1982DL B21A Canadian car, power nothing except steering.

I know the part numbers are different, but, don't some fit and some don't? Just give it a shot, lol.

autozone 70 bucks each i got one for my 242 and my 740

maybe in the states. not here. plus, when the wheel and included hub are going to end up costing me a bit more than double that, another $70 if it's not right is not what i want to do. anyway, it'll be way more than that here.

sell the 740 hub and buy a 240 hub.
